The one thing that’s apparently keeping Meghan from getting on with Prince Harry’s friends

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's marriage was always going to represent two very different worlds coming together but it looks like one thing in particular could be causing a clash. Meghan has in the past been outspoken about her political views. An avowed feminist, she once labelled now-president of the US Donald Trump "misogynistic" and publicly backed his opponent Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. She has also thrown her weight behind the Me Too movement against sexual harassment in Hollywood, bringing it up in an address earlier this year. "There is no better time than to really continue to shine a light on women feeling empowered and people really helping to support them, men included in that," she said during the first annual forum for the Royal Foundation in February. Now, as an official member of the royal family, she can no longer comment publicly on anything political. Privately, though, Meghan's views remain the same and this has reportedly made fitting in with her husband's conservative friends a little tricky. "Her politics are an issue," Lady Colin Campbell, who was a close friend of Lady Diana's, told The Daily Beast. "She is ultra-liberal and that trendy-lefty stuff does not go down well with some of Harry’s friends. "He has introduced her to them all at parties and weddings and private dinners, but she is very anti- a lot of the things that their world functions upon, such as shooting." For what it's worth, we'd be of the one mind with Meghan and have big respect for her for sticking to her guns.
