It's a bit out of the ordinary for the rich and famous.

With most celebrity couples - even those that aren't famous but just rich - they sign prenuptial agreements so if they ever split up, one or the other won't take their money. It's commonplace (well, we see it being argued on TV mostly), so it's a little weird to find out that Meghan and Harry didn't sign one themselves. "I don’t think members of the royal family sign prenuptial agreements," Katie Nicholl, author of Harry: Life, Loss, and Love, told Town & Country. "This is not a celebrity marriage, it’s a royal marriage," she said. The Daily Mail reported just before the pair tied the knot that they didn't sign any legal documents before their wedding, which would protect both their individual assets should they split. "There was never any question in Harry’s mind that he would sign a prenup," a source told the paper. "He’s determined that his marriage will be a lasting one, so there’s no need for him to sign anything." Meghan and Harry married on May 19 in St. George's Chapel, in Windsor. Kensington Palace will cover the cost of the royal wedding, an expense traditionally taken on by the bride's family.
