PETA defends Kylie Jenner’s lion head dress

Not expected at all...

In case you missed it, Kylie Jenner wore a lion's head to Paris Fashion Week and while it certainly raised a few eyebrows, one animal rights group are completely on board. That's right, PETA has given one of the most positive reviews of the look as the group's president Ingrid Newkirk revealed that she believes Kylie was aiming to make a bold statement by wearing this. Kylie attended the Schiaparelli Haute Couture show in Paris on Monday but wasn't the only person to rock this look as Irina Shayk also wore the same dress on the runway. Newkirk told TMZ: "Kylie's look celebrates lions' beauty and may be a statement against trophy hunting, in which lion families are torn apart to satisfy human egotism." Kylie was sure to inform everyone at the show that the lion on her dress was not a real one, saying it was a "faux art creation constructed by hand using manmade materials." During the Schiaparelli show, Naomi Campbell also wore a similar design which featured a black wolf's head and is also said to be made from manmade materials. PETA's president went on to applaud Kylie's outfit choice and Schiaparelli for going for a faux look, saying: "These fabulously innovative three-dimensional animal heads show that where there’s a will, there's a way." Jenner turned heads as she arrived in the French capital with the unorthodox design, posing for photos before heading into the venue on Monday.
