Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made their first public appearance since leaving the UK

It has been a number of weeks since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made that infamous announcement. The couple, who were married in May 2018, made the decision to leave the royal family. In a statement released by the couple, they said:

“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. "We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen." We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages." "This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity." And now, after quite a bit of family drama, the couple seem to be settling into their new lives as "normal people". In fact, the Duke and Duchess have made first formal appearance as non royals. According to PageSix, the couple made their first public appearance since announcing they were “stepping back” from royal life at a private JPMorgan event. The report says that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle turned up at the swanky 1 Hotel in Miami’s South Beach on Thursday night. A source revealed: “It was all very hush-hush, with a lot of security. Meghan and Harry headlined the event as the keynote speakers.” Interesting!
