Royal expert criticises Prince Harry for making a social media error

Prince Harry has been criticised for a social media error.

According to one royal expert, some of the decisions that have been made with the social strategy behind the Sussex Royal Instagram account are "ill-timed". Caroline Frost, a royal correspondent, said that the official account was launched the day after Harry made a speech discussing the impact of social media on mental health and in her opinion, the management of the account could be improved. Speaking to Sky News, she said:

"So we had Prince Harry telling a young audience ‘stay away from social media, it can damage your mental health, please live lives in balance and stop worrying about how you look’. "Literally the very next day they launched their Instagram account. So I think there’s a little bit of management perhaps that needs to be improved".

The Express reports that Caroline acknowledged that there's a certain amount of "magic" involved with the black and white snap taken at Archie's christening reminding her of old Hollywood. Caroline, a regular contributor to BBC and Sky, emphasised the importance of timing with such major decisions and that's understandable given the huge platform that the royal couple have, 9 million Instagram followers and counting. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's baby son was christened at the weekend and their decision to keep the event private resulted in much criticism. They kept the names of Archie's godparents private "in keeping with their wishes" but this resulted in much criticism from the public who believed they should release the names in keeping with royal tradition. Further controversy arose yesterday when it emerged that during her attendance Wimbledon last week, Meghan Markle requested that photos weren't taken as she was there in a private capacity to see close friend, Serena Williams play.
