Saoirse Ronan has shared her future family plans

The Irish actress subtly confirmed she was pregnant at the Louis Vuitton cruise 2026 show last month.

The mum-to-be showed off her growing baby bump during the event.

Her pregnancy was later confirmed to The Irish Independent.

A source close to the actress told the publication that Ronan is thrilled to be expecting her first child with Jack Lowden.

In a recent interview with British Vogue, the Little Women star said she always wanted to have a family of her own.

Ronan is notoriously private about her personal life, but she discussed her hopes for the future in the interview.

She told the publication that she's grateful she'll be able to step back from her career during pregnancy.

The Brooklyn star said, "I became successful when I was quite young. So it meant that, actually, by the time I found my partner, I'm now at the stage where, if it happened, I would like to have a kid.

"I feel fortunate enough that, if I step out of this for a minute, I'm hopefully not giving it up forever. But, yeah, I've always wanted that," she confirmed.

Ronan married Slow Horses actor Jack Lowden in August, but kept details about their wedding to herself.

The actress is reportedly very protective of her personal life and is reluctant to share too much about it.

Ronan married the Scottish actor in a private ceremony in Edinburgh in August.

A small number of their closest friends reportedly attended the event.

The Independent reported: "Only a handful of the couple’s closest friends were present – and all the guests were sworn to secrecy."

The Irish actress has been dating Jack Lowden since they worked together on Mary Queen of Scots in 2018.
