Sarah Jessica Parker has confirmed Aidan will definitely be in And Just Like That season 2

After rumours and rumours about Aidan Shaw potentially returning to the Sex and the City universe, we didn't want to get our hopes up until the woman herself confirmed it. And she officially has - Sarah Jessica Parker has confirmed that John Corbett will be reprising his role as Aidan for the second season of And Just Like That. Deadline reported last month that the actor had signed on to various episodes of the series, but now it's official. Sarah was being interviewed by Entertainment Tonight this week when she was asked what was happening in the next season, and more importantly, those Aidan rumours. Teasing that he "could be" making a return, she eventually confessed the truth, saying: "Well, you know, I can’t be like, cryptic about it anymore. The rumours first started when John told Page Six last year that he was “very excited” to be appearing in “quite a few” episodes of the show, but Sarah shut this down and confirmed he was only joking. Aidan was a fan favourite on the show as one of Carrie's boyfriends and eventual fiance in seasons 3 and 4 of Sex and the City. They ended up splitting up and Carrie ended up with Big who she stayed with until And Just Like That - but not without one last appearance from Aidan. In the second film, Carrie bumped into Aidan at a market in Abu Dhabi and despite the two being married, they went for dinner and shared a kiss. And who knows what will go down as he reappears? As any fan will remember, Mr. Big died in the first episode of And Just Like That and as Carrie attempted to date again, she couldn't bring herself to get over him - could Aidan change that?
