Danny O'Donoghue has paid tribute to his mother who passed away suddenly last week.

The Script frontman lost his mother Ailish O'Donoghue on Friday February 8 when she died suddenly in her Dublin home. Her funeral took place this afternoon. The singer took to Instagram to share a few words about his mother today. He and the other members of the band, Glen and Mark, said that she would be "back with her one true love Shay O'Donoghue." The post read: "It deeply saddens us today to have to say RIP to Ailish O'Donoghue, you're forever in our thoughts and prayers. "The greatest love story may look like it's come to an end, when in fact it's just beginning. Today, she's back with her one true love Shay O'Donoghue, sitting at a piano watching over us all.
