Add us as a preferred source on Google »After announcing her new romance with Benny Blanco, the singer has revealed what she looks for in a relationship - and it's a good list to follow.
In an interview with Vogue México y Latinoamérica, Selena said self-respect and holding space for feelings are important for any potential partner.
"Honestly, I have to start being attracted to the right kind of people, because it's a bit of both," the 31-year-old said in the interview that has been translated from Spanish to English.
"It's very hard to find someone who can listen to you and care about you, but I know when it happens it will be great and you will want it to be healthy."
Though she didn't mention her other half by name in the article, Selena revealed that they had been dating for six months in a recent Instagram post.
The former Disney star dropped the news that she is in a relationship with the music producer by posting a black and white snap showing herself wearing a diamond ring with the initial B on it.
She only further confirmed that she is dating Benny when she left a comment on a picture a fan account had uploaded of the two together which read, "He is my absolute everything in my heart."
Despite her honesty, Selena's fans have had a mixed reaction to the news, pointing out that Benny hasn't always had the nicest things to say about her.
Her followers were quick to remind her that her new boyfriend, once threw shade at her in an interview.
The producer praised Justin Bieber for releasing songs such as Lonely while slamming “cookie-cutter pop artists,” seemingly like Selena, for releasing makeup lines.
Yet that all seems to be in the past for the two of them as the couple may have started out as friends as they worked together back in 2019 on the song "I Can't Get Enough."
On top of producing the track, Benny also sang alongside Selena, Tainy, and J Balvin.
