Singer Sam Smith Hints at Split During Recent Concert

Sam Smith has sparked rumours that he has split from his boyfriend of two months, model Jonathan Zeizel. According to The Sun newspaper the singer hinted during a recent concert that he had just gone through a break-up when introducing his song Good Thing. The couple had been dating for a few months. He said: “This song is very special for me today as I’ve actually had to do a very similar thing with someone I’ve been seeing.” Following the gig he posted a photograph of himself in bed with a glass of wine and a sad expression on his face. Sam fuelled the rumours with this snap following the concert. The caption read: “Sometimes you just need to lay in bed with a glass of red wine and a football T shirt and listen to Joni Mitchell. It’s been a sad day. Beautiful show, but sad day x [sic].” Sam and Jonathan started dating at the end of last year and spent New Year’s together in Australia. They met on the set of the pop star’s music video for Like I Can.
