‘The easiest yes’ – Former Miss Ireland Aoife Walsh announces her engagement

Aoife Walsh is officially engaged

The mum revealed the major news on Instagram last night. Aoife's partner popped the question on a balcony overlooking Lisbon.

The pair had jetted away for a romantic holiday, and it's safe to say they'll never forget this trip.

Aoife posted multiple photos of the moment her other half proposed, with the mum admitting she didn't see it coming.

She simply captioned the announcement, "The easiest yes of my life."

Aoife opened up about the engagement this morning on Instagram and admitted that she is still in shock.

She told her followers, "Beyond shook. I actually can’t believe it. Ben did such an amazing job keeping it a surprise. I was not expecting it at all.

“Best surprise of my life! Beyond thrilled, honestly, so so happy! Literally on cloud 9 like can’t explain!"

The mum confirmed she was in a new relationship in August. She posted a photo of her partner Ben twirling her around and kissing her, captioned, "Sometimes love just sneaks up on you."

Her followers showered her with loving messages following the announcement.

“Awwwww Aoife I’m so happy for you. You deserve all the happiness!! These photos are just gorgeous x,” Louise Cooney wrote.

"I’m bursting with happiness for you beautiful lady! You deserve this. Enjoy the celebrations," Jennifer Wrynne said.

Aoife was previously engaged, but that relationship ended in 2021. She is now a single mother to her four-year-old daughter, Penelope.

The proud mum bought her own home for her and her daughter, Penelope, in 2023. She said, "Me & my little forever roomie. So so excited & really proud to have bought my first home. Here’s to the next chapter."
