There was an impromptu mini-Friends reunion this week and it was all caught on camera

There's no denying it: Friends was the show that defined a generation. And thanks to constant re-runs, Netflix, and catchy one-liners, Friends is still going strong more than 14 years after it went off the air. Which is why it is no wonder social media users went wild when they found out that Courtney Cox and Tom Selleck - aka Monica Geller and Richard Burke - had an impromptu reunion earlier this week. The moment was caught on camera by Claudia Oshry, who shared it with her Twitter followers. She captioned it:

"Spotted in NY: Dr. Richard Burke and Monica Geller saying hi to one another. Shook. What will Chandler say?"

The video shows the pair hugging at the bar, before having a friendly chat. https://twitter.com/girlwithnojob/status/1075179858060345345 Many fans took to Twitter to share their excitement over the mini-reunion, "THIS IS GOLD," one person wrote, while another joked: "poor Chandler!" Another admitted that while she'll "probably get ugly replies", she wished Monica and Richard had actually stayed together and gotten married instead. She said:

"I wish Monica & Richard would of gotten married instead. Richard was more mature for her as a man. Monica starting acting immature when she was with Chandler. Monica deserved better & that was not Chandler."
