Zac Efron pays sweet tribute to Matthew Perry during ‘Walk of Fame’ speech

Zac Efron paid a very sweet tribute to Matthew Perry today, during his speech on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The actor was honoured with his very own star on the famous stretch in Los Angeles on Monday, December 11th.

As he spoke about his career so far, the '17 Again' star said that Perry was "so kind and generous with me" during filming on the 2009 film.

"Collaborating with him and [director Burr Steers] — it was so much fun and really did propel me and motivate me in so many ways," Efron said.

"It really pushed me into the next chapter of my career, and for that, thank you so much, Matthew. Thinking about you a lot today."

He shot to fame back in 2006 after starring in Disney's 'High School Musical' movie and is now the 2,767th entertainment industry figure to receive a star on the Walk of Fame, according to an official press release.

"We are thrilled to honour actor Zac Efron who began his career as a Disney alum and has reinvented himself as a leading man by playing a wide variety of great roles," Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, said.

"What a way to end our year of star ceremonies with this very popular and gifted actor!" she added.
