24-year-old influencer Jayda McCann has died after battle with rare form of cancer

24-year-old influencer Jayda McCann has passed away.

The popular beauty and wellbeing influencer passed away early this morning after a battle with PEComa, a rare form of cancer. Jayda, also known as Jade, had amassed an Instagram following of almost 60k as she documented her treatment process. Her family shared a statement on social media this morning, confirming the tragic news.

"Just want to update you all on Jade's situation; Jade passed away peacefully in her sleep this morning at 5.10 am. We will put up a post in the near future with more details regarding her passing but for now, her family would appreciate privacy until everything is in order. Thank you for all your support and continued kindness".

John Connors, an actor and close friend of Jayda's paid an emotional tribute, describing her as an "incredible singer and songwriter". He spoke of a documentary film he has been working on, paying tribute to Jayda's journey and also expressed his sadness for Jayda's family at this difficult time.
