According to reports, the monthly payment will be made at an earlier date due to the upcoming long weekend.
The Child Benefit payment is typically paid on the first Tuesday of every month.
However, it is set to be paid earlier than Tuesday, May 6th, because of the long weekend.
Payments will be sent to recipients' bank accounts on May 2nd or 3rd, according to The Sun.
Around 650,000 recipients have been warned that their payments will be made a few days before the first Tuesday of May.
Other social welfare payments expected on Monday, May 5th, will also be paid earlier.
This includes the New Baby Grant, which will likely be paid on May 2nd or May 3rd instead.
The newborn baby grant was rolled out in February, with over 4,000 new parents receiving the payment.
The Government confirmed a bonus payment would be given to new parents in Budget 2025.
Parents who welcome babies from December 1st, 2024, would be awarded the Newborn Baby Grant.
The aim of the grant is to help parents cover baby expenses following their child’s birth.
Anyone who welcomes a child from December 1st will receive the payment, but the amount differs depending on how many children you welcome.
