7 counties in Ireland have been issued with a weather warning

The warning will be lifted tomorrow.

Seven counties have been issued with a Status Yellow rainfall weather warning. The counties in question are Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Wicklow, Offaly and Tipperary. The warning was issued this morning at 7am, 13 November and will remain in place until 2am on Thursday, 14 November. Met Éireann said: "A spell of heavy rain is likely to lead to some spot flooding and will turn to sleet and snow in places later today."

Meanwhile, the weather forecaster said we could see snow fall around the country this evening. "Mainly dry in the east at first today with a few bright spells. Showers in the west will merge to a more persistent spell of heavy rain this morning, with a risk of hail and thunder, with the rain spreading to most areas later today. Top temperatures 4 to 8 degrees. "Some of the rain will turn to sleet and snow in Munster and Leinster, mainly later this afternoon and evening. Brisk northwest winds will develop in the southwest later today, but winds will be lighter and more variable elsewhere." Be careful out there.
