A number of roads in Dublin are flooded this morning

With the status yellow weather warning in place, a lot of the country has woken up to a very wet and miserable day. The east has been worst affected, with Dublin experiencing very heavy downpours. With all the overnight rain, a number of roads have become flooded and some are impassable. Six roads in Dublin are reportedly flooded this morning, with more expected to be confirmed as the morning progresses. AA Roadwatch has given this update on their website regarding the roads in Dublin that are flooded:

"There is flooding on the Stillorgan Rd inbound between Mount Merrion Ave and the Fosters Ave jct. Traffic can get by with care in the right lane. The Rock Rd has some flooding near the Frascati SC. Clontarf Rd is impassable at the Mount Prospect Ave jct due to flooding. Infirmary Rd near Phoenix Park is closed due to flooding. James Larkin Rd is flooded on the city side of the Howth Rd jct. There’s flooding on Parkgate St near Sean Heuston Bridge."

The status yellow warning, from Met Éireann, remains in place today for Munster and Leinster until 9pm.
