Gardaí investigate theft of baby pygmy goat from Dublin farm

The kid is only three weeks old.

An investigation has been launched following the theft of a baby pygmy goat from a farm in Donabate, Co. Dublin. According to a social media post shared by Newbridge House and Farm, CCTV picked up two intruders breaking into the farm's grounds and stealing the goat, who is just three weeks old. The post read: "On Friday night into Saturday morning, CCTV footage shows two males dressed in black, breaking into Newbridge Farm and stealing a precious newborn kid. "She is a female pygmy goat aged only 3 weeks old." The social media post continued: "If anyone has any information can they please contact the staff at Newbridge House and Farm. "Please share to help bring our baby home." They confirmed that Gardaí had been notified of the case. In a statement given to Dublin Live, authorities confirmed that an investigation is taking place. A Garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí in Swords are investigating the theft of an animal from a premises in Donabate, Co.Dublin which is believed to occurred in the early hours of Saturday, 26 February 2022." They added: "Investigations are ongoing."
