As part of the works, the Luas Green Line will be extended from St Stephen's Green on to the Iarnród Éireann Broombridge station in Cabra, with an interchange at Abbey Street for those wishing to change lines.
The new stop at O'Connell Street will be for those wanting to head north to Cabra while those wanting to head to Stephen's Green or beyond will switch at the Marlborough stop.
Below is what it will look like once all the works are completed in December.
While the new lines should be fully up and running by December, there will be trial runs of the lines taking place over the summer.
