Add us as a preferred source on Google »Mary Kielty, the mother of The Late Late Show host Patrick Kielty, has passed away.
Ms Kielty lived in Down, with her funeral to take place in the county's village of Dundrum on Monday, March 10th.
Her husband and Patrick's father, Jack, was killed by members of the Ulster Freedom Fighters (UFF) in 1988.

The news was announced via the Funeral Times website, with RTÉ reporting that Ms Kielty's death was confirmed only hours after the TV presenter hosted the most recent Late Late episode on Friday.
"KIELTY (nee O'Hare) Mary R.I.P. (39 Main Street, Dundrum BT33 0LU) Died 8th March, 2025 peacefully at home, dearly loved wife of the late Jack, loving mother of John, Patrick and Cahal. Mother-in-law of Moya, Catherine and Nichola, devoted grandmother of Catherine, Sarah, Ciara, Milo, James, Shauna and Fionn, sister of John (O'Hare) and the late Susan, Bridget and Margaret.
"Will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her entire family circle, neighbours and friends. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her gentle soul.
"Her remains will leave her late residence on Monday 10th March, 2025 at 12.45pm for 1.00pm Requiem Mass in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Dundrum. Burial to follow in the cemetery of the Immaculate Conception, Aughlisnafin.
"Our Lady of Lourdes pray for her."
