The status yellow rainfall warning for Kilkenny, Wexford and Cork is also valid from Wednesday at 3 pm until Thursday at 6 pm. Met Éireann has predicted that we're in for an awful day today with heavy rain and flooding predicted all over the country. However, there is also a weather warning in place for five counties. The weather forecaster issued a Status Yellow rain warning for Kilkenny, Wexford, Cork, Tipperary and Waterford. The warning will be in place until tomorrow afternoon. It said: "From early hours of Wednesday to noon on Thursday, spells of heavy rain at times will give amounts of 30 to 50 mm with a risk of spot flooding." Meanwhile, there will be heavy outbreaks of rain covering the rest of the country today and temperatures will remain around the 10 degrees mark. "Today will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain over much of the country. The rain will be heaviest over Munster and east Lenister with a risk of spot flooding. Tonight and tomorrow is unfortunately looking much the same. "Thursday will be a mostly cloudy day with scattered outbreaks of rain, some heavy and prolonged falls across the south and east. Southeast winds will moderate through the day and become generally easterly. Highest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees."Any early frost in inland areas will soon clear.
