This politician made history AGAIN by breastfeeding in parliament

She's on a roll.

Australian Greens party senator Larissa Waters made International headlines last month by becoming the first woman to breastfeed her child while on the floor in Federal Parliament. Now she's redefining multi-tasking once again by breastfeeding her 14-week old baby Alia Joy while passing a motion in the Senate in Canberra:

Speaking back in May, Senator Waters said:

“I am so proud that my daughter Alia is the first baby to be breastfed in the Federal Parliament, we need more women and parents in Parliament. And we need more family-friendly and flexible workplaces, and affordable childcare, for everyone.”

Last year, Australian parliamentary rules were changed to allow mothers breastfeed in the chamber. Children were previously banned in the chamber and breastfeeding mothers had to leave the chamber in order to feed their babies. This caused massive controversy as women were missing out on parliamentary duties and crucial votes as a result.
