Johnny Murphy, who starred in iconic Irish films such as; The Commitments, Into The West, and Angela's Ashes has passed away.
His most memorable role was Joey 'The Lips' Fagan in the screen adaptation of Roddy Doyle's classic, The Commitments and he was also an accomplished theatre actor.
His co-stars in the film, musicians Glen Hansard and Maria Doyle Kennedy have paid tribute to him on Twitter today:
