“We simply can’t believe it! This is our first big Lotto win and staff and customers are buzzing with excitement. “We are on a lucky run as we recently sold a Scratch Card that won a customer €25,000. But this is amazing, we are hoping it is somebody local but we are a busy shop with a lot of passing traffic so we don’t know.”
A National Lottery spokesperson has urged players in Dublin to check their ticket to see if they have the winning slip.
The lucky numbers in the main draw were 1, 15, 22, 27, 31, 34 and the bonus, 42.
Meanwhile, the Lotto Plus 1 draw, which was worth €1 million, saw the digits 5, 25, 30, 38, 39, 47 come up - and the bonus ball was 45.
Anyone hoping to see their numbers come up in the Lotto Plus 2 draw, worth €250,000, will need to look for the numbers 3, 4, 10, 32, 33, 46 and the bonus ball was 35.
It comes a day after a Lotto player from the north side of Dublin collected winnings of over €1 million from Lotto HQ.
The man, who has chosen to remain anonymous, bought his winning Quick Pick ticket at the Costcutter Express store in Phibsboro on 12 September.
He told Dublin People newspaper:
"When I came into the Lotto HQ with my ticket, I genuinely thought that I would be told that I’d checked my ticket wrong or something and I didn’t win anything! “Even now that I have a cheque in my hand worth a million quid, I don’t think it’ll really hit home until all those lovely zeros appear in my bank account.”
