Jenna Shovlin, from Portnoo Co. Donegal, passed away suddenly in Manhattan on March 8th.
She had spent several years living in New York and worked for Warner Bros. film studio.
Jenna was a production assistant on several major projects, such as the Oscar-nominated tick, tick... BOOM!, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and the upcoming drama The Bride starring Christian Bale and Jessie Buckley.
Ardara-based GAA club Clg Ard An Ratha announced her death in a post on Facebook.
They said: "Devastating news arrived in the Parish again last night, with the news of the sudden death of Jenna Shovlin of The Rock, Narin.
"Jenna was a beautiful girl who had made a new life for herself in New York, and was a person who made a lasting impression on whoever she met, with a smile that lit up every room she went into. The news of her passing has left a black cloud over our Parish once more.
"We offer our deepest condolences to Frankie, Kathleen, Christopher, Keith and to the extended Shovlin and Furey families on Jennas death."
Many people took to the comments to send their condolences.
One person wrote: "Such heartbreaking news. Jenna was a beautiful person. May she Rest In Peace. Sending my condolences to all the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all."
Another said: "Heartbreaking news! God rest Jenna, and give strength to Kathleen, Frankie, Christopher, Keith and the extended shovlin & Fury families."
One mourner wrote: "Such devastating news for Kathleen, Frankie, Christopher, Keith, extended family & her friends. Beautiful girl with a heart of gold. May Jenna's gentle soul rest in peace."
A special celebration was held in Jenna's honour in St Conal’s Church in Kilclooney on Sunday evening, while funeral arrangements are yet to be confirmed.
